There are some English butter biscuits, often served with tea, but they are very good and served with jam or butter for breakfast, because they are not very sweet, they can take the place of bread. They are made very quickly, I made them twice a week because they are eaten even faster, warm, fresh out of the oven

  • 280 g flour
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 70 g butter
  • 1 or
  • 100 g of milk

Servings: 1

Preparation time: less than 90 minutes

In a bowl, mix the flour with the sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and baking powder. Add the diced butter and mix it with the dry ingredients until it becomes crumbly.

Add the egg and milk and knead well with floured hands, resulting in a soft and sticky dough. On the prepared table, spread the dough in a sheet with a thickness of at least half a centimeter. Using a glass, cut the biscuits, then place them in the tray lined with baking paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees, until they start to turn slightly browned. Serve with butter or jam, next to a glass of warm milk or milk chocolate.

Good appetite!
